      How the band formed

Well, they already knew each other from being friends at school and all, and just wanted to get together and rock out to some music.  It started out just with them wanting to play a song for the talent show but after they got together they knew that there was much more that could be accomplished with their musical talents put together.  They decided to put Josh on drums even though at the time most people knew him as a guitar player  (from being the former rhythm guitarist from the band No Warning Shot), and Dustin Clark on bass (also from No Warning Shot. And last but not least Jessy Rutter on guitar since he is an extremly talented guitarist (which suprisingly some people don't know since he's the former bass player from Battery Inc.).  Anyway they started jamming in December 04' in Josh's room where they put together their first 2 originals "Fallen" and "Promise" before moving their practice area to Dusty's Garage. They then started working on their third original "Through These Eyes" and starting letting people hear them in the new practice area to get a taste of the new metalcore band. Then after a couple months their high school's talent show came about. The first time Eyes of Anguish would be heard publicly. They played the song "Promise" (dedicated to 9/11) and even after a rough start ( Jessy broke a string ) it ended up awesome. The people loved the new metalcore band and they ended up getting first place.  Not long after that, we recruited a good friend of ours by the name of David Welsh to be our lead vocalist.  His voice matched perfectly with our style of music. Then even later down the road they picked up their friend Josh Bobick as rythm guitarist. Eyes of Anguish is an awesome metalcore band that will give you a good show and you will get you money's worth so anytime you have the chance to see them around, come check them out. If you love heavy music then you will love this band......EYES OF ANGUISH IS HERE TO STAY!!!

           David

David first got interested in metal music when Josh and him started jamming in his basement when they were kids. They always wanted to have a band together but nothing ever happened with it and it fell apart. David stopped playing guitar and many years later Josh was in another band called Eyes of Anguish. David still had this burning desire to do something with music so he talked to the band and asked if he could try singing for them, since they wanted a lead vocalist. Things finally got started and here they are.

           Jessy

In about March of 2000, after Jessy moved to Wilmington, DE after living in Fort Littleton, PA. for 12 years, Jessy started playing guitar. After playing on an old, piece of shit acustic for a couple of months, he got his first decent guitar, a Washburn BT-3. After playing for about a year and progressing his talent, he started playing with a metal band from Elsmere, Delaware named Old Number 7. He played with Old Number 7 until July of 02' when he moved back to PA. After moving back to PA, he started to become friends with other musicians from the area. He started jamming with Paul Cornelius and Zac Waite and after some sessions and some consideration decided to join the band and pick up bass to fill the empty spot instead of playing guitar to form Battery Inc.. After playing with Battery Inc. until about Sept. 04' and recording two ep's, Jessy decided to do something more to his style of taste with his talent. He got together with Dustin Clark and Josh Baker (No Warning Shot), originally just to do a song for the high school talent show, but the group decided that there was much more to be accomplished. They came together to form Eyes of Anguish. And after some writing and practice they found that this was the start of a very bright future.

           Dusty

Dusty always wanted to learn to play guitar but he never had the chance to. Then, his Aunt Jere started dating the rythm guitarist from the local band Sound of Silence(SOS) Eric "evil" Scott. In Sept. '03 Eric then started to come to Dustin's house weekly to teach him the basics of guitar. Then, after playing guitar by himself for a few months, learning a good bit and jamming with some friends, Bryan Whitsel asked him if he would like to switch over to bass guitar for the band No Warning Shot. He always wanted to be in this band so he of course said yes and made the change from guitar to bass, then switching Josh Baker to rythm guitar. Then, many awesome and fun shows later he started talking to fellow band member Josh Baker and high school friend Jessy Rutter (bassist from Battery Inc.).  They decided that they wanted to join up to do a song for  the talent show at their high school. Then after jamming they decided that they loved their style of music and wanted to stay together to form a full time band. Eyes of Anguish was then formed.

            Josh

Josh moved into Rockhill, PA back in 99' from Maddensville, PA.  He then would find out that that was one of the most important events that happened in his music career.  He was inspired to play the bass guitar from a friend named David Welsh, who had bought an electric guitar a couple months before hand.  They had a great idea of starting a band, but they never went anywhere with that idea.  Josh then started talking to Bryan Whitsel (guitar and vocs for NWS) about starting a band for Class Day of 03'.  They then got together and started to write a song with Ray Ewing (drums for NWS) and Matt Rock (vocs at the time).  They never did get to play that day but they started another band called No Warning Shot with Dustin Clark added playing bass and Josh then converting to rhythm guitar.  After playing for a little over a year and still counting at the time, Josh started to play drums in late 04'.  He then picked drums up and wanted to jam with someone. Jessy and Dustin came up with an idea to play the school's talent show.  They then started to play and more and more things started to happen. The decided to start a full time band because they knew it would be a new beginning to the metal scene in the area.  Thus Eyes of Anguish was born.
